We began the afternoon in the computer lab taking the government of B.C. satisfaction survey.  The students are asked a series for questions about how they feel about school and learning.  There is a form going home that has a log in for parents to also take the survey.  At random some of the parents and students are also prompted to take a shorter Victoria School District survey as well.  The survey has 4 or 5 questions on a page and you then press next to continue the test.

From the computer lab the students went with Mrs. Awalt and continued their learning on the recorder.  It is amazing how fast you can learn an instrument when you are young.   I have tried later in life and it seems very hard.  May be I should have had Mrs. Awalt as a teacher.

After music I showed a second beginning of the movie Peter Pan from the 2003 movie Pan.  We have read the first chapter, seen the beginning of the Disney movie and so are beginning to have enough information to compare and contrast different interpretations of the book in movies.  We then talked about what it was like when I went to school and how things are different today from when the book and the movie were written.

Just when you think you have seen all the cool things the students think of they come up with even more.
See you all tomorrow... mr w
