We started the day with a writing and drawing assignment for Fathers Day. This was followed by math. We were adding fractions with like denominators. The students will need extra practice with this tomorrow as many just began to get the concept.
After recess the students had music with Mrs. Awalt where they began to practice for some small in school performances next week, the unveiling of the mural and for the grade 5 year end ceremony. After music the students had some handwriting practice and when finished, worked on their Socials Provincial project. (Due Monday May 30)
After lunch we read for 30 minutes, had rainbow jello treat from C to celebrate her birthday and worked on finishing the handwriting, the Fathers day stuff and the provincial project. We ended the day with a school recognition assembly in which both the Sr. and Jr. choirs performed together and I recognized 5 of our students for Art, Imagination, Creative writing and Math. All in all a hard working day with lots accomplished.
