Our school hosted the school board of trustees and other dignitaries to see the release of the Read for the Top Video. A team of trustees challenged the school winning team to a friendly match. As well we had the Island Spelling champion for Victoria, and the Island, who placed 5 th in the Canadian spelling competition. If that was not enough we also had a student from Campus View who just returned from winning the World chess championship for children under 10 years of age. It was an exciting evening and gave us a chance to showcase the school, the district and our community. It is wonderful to teach students and witness such potential and skills in our children even at such an early age.
