Friday Test April 15

The students really got involved in the Design Your own Animal Projects
Socials:
Captain George Vancouver was captain of the British expedition that arrived in the Pacific Northwest in 1792. Vancouver entered the Royal Navy at the age of 13 as a seaman, and worked his way up to Captain by the time he retired. Most people know of George Vancouver because of the city and island named after him. But Vancouver is more famous for the maps he produced of the Pacific Northwest.

Math:
-Which number is the is the denominator? 1/2
-Which number is the numerator? 3/4
-If two fractions have the same denominator, how can you tell which one is the greater? If the bottom number, the denominator number that is greater on top
-If two shapes are congruent what does it mean about the shapes. (same size and shape)

Science:
What does transparent mean? Both Light and images can be seen through it
What does translucent mean? Light but not images can be seen through it
What does opaque mean? No light or images can be seen through it
